重要文化財「三井本館」90周年記念！
日本橋の重要文化財「三井本館」が6月15日に開館90周年を迎え、写真家のホンマタカシさんによる写真展「三井本館 Mitsui Main Building TOKYO 1929-2019｜写真・ホンマタカシ」が開催されています。会期は7月21日まで。写真や映像によりその歴史を体験できる無料展示イベントです。
展示会場は大理石の重厚なインテリアをはじめとする開館当時の佇まいを残す、合名玄関と呼ばれるオフィスのエントランスと三井本館に隣接する「日本橋三井タワー」の1階アトリウム。普段は気軽に入れない館内を見学できるのも、今回の展示の見どころではないでしょうか。また、90周年を祝う色とりどりのお花の装飾や、会期中の、光を用いたアートを多く手掛ける美術家・高橋匡太による夜間ライトアップ(日没から23時まで)も必見です！

June 15th marked the 90th anniversary of the opening of the Mitsui Main Building, an important cultural property representative of modern Japanese architecture, in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. This exhibition, held until July 21st, reflects on its history and presents its charms as a building from a contemporary perspective.
The exhibition centers around the photographs taken and selected by the photographer Takashi Homma. The venues are divided into the Gomei Entrance Hall and the atrium of the neighboring structure, Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower. The Gomei Entrance Hall, with its imposing marble interior and more, is a place that maintains the atmosphere of the time of the building’s opening.
Don’t miss such a unique opportunity to visit inside the building, usually not readily accessible to the wider public.
